Horseback Riding

Therapeutic horseback riding is one of the most effective modes of therapy for people suffering from physical impairment and neuromuscular disabilities. Horseback riding helps disabled persons by reducing muscle tension and improving their balance reflex; it also offers an invaluable and unique experience in movement and mobility. Specially trained instructors develop an individual program for each child or adult, and with their instructor’s guidance, most of these riders prove to be good learners. In addition, helping to take care of the horses, when that is possible, encourages the development of physical, psychological, and social skills.
